Tips for Shop Hopping
Do your homework! Plan your trip and make sure that you know how to get to all the shops before you start the hop. Call the shops ahead of time to get more detailed directions.
If you are printing your own labels, include your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
Wear comfortable shoes. Take lots of stretching breaks.
Bring a bottle of water and a snack for the road.
Bring a camera.
Save gas. Carpool with a friend, or better yet, a group of friends.
If you plan on staying at a hotel/motel while hopping, reservations are recommended.
Be prepared to have lots of fun!

Welcome, Quilters!
Mark your calendars and join us for the Ninth Annual Sierra 2 Sage Shop Hop featuring 9 of your favorite premiere quilt shops from Carson City, Dayton, Gardnerville, Fallon, Fernley, Minden, and Portola.
Explore a varied curriculum of quilting techniques and tops while viewing each shop's demonstration. Also, get a FREE 12 inch (finished-sized) block pattern from each shop.
Shops will be open extended hours, and don't be afraid to call a shop if you are running late. You'll find that the shops will be happy to wait for you!
Here's How It Works...
- Pick up your passport at the first shop you visit.
- Get your Passport stamped by each of the shops you visit.
- Turn your passport in at the last shop you visit. It's that simple!
Fine Print
- Passports cannot be stamped before September 8, 2016.
- All shop hoppers must present their own passport to be stamped and will not be permitted to stamp more than one Passport.
- Passports are not transferrable.
- Shops are only permitted to stamp Passports in their designated space.
- If shop hoppers forget to get their Passport stamped at any shop, they will have to return to that shop to get it stamped.
- You may turn in your Passport in at the last shop you visit or you may mail it to The UnCommon Thread, 1525 W. Williams Ave., Suite L, Fallon, NV 89406. The mailed passport must be postmarked no later than September 14, 2016 and must be received by September 24, 2016.
- To be eligible for the grand, first, and second prizes, shop hoppers MUST visit and collect stamps from all 9 shops and MUST be 18 years of age or older.
- Partially completed passports are eligible for all other prizes.
We're mixing it up
Instead of block kits, we're trying something different for 2016. Each shop will have available for purchase during the hop a bundle of four fat quarters for $10.99. The fabrics in these bundles are the fabrics needed to make all of the leaf blocks you will be collecting a pattern for in your goodie bags from the nine different shop hop shops. Buy all the bundles and you have all the fabric necessary for the nine shop hop leaf blocks and then some. The catch is the fabric needed for Shop A's block may be found in Shop B, C, and/or D's bundle.
